the last 2 weeks have been challenging. good, and busy and challenging. dying to self is hard. and i've come to realize that i'd rather scrub horse poop off of rubber stall walls for 6 hours a day than go door-to-door raising money for 8 hours. maybe it's the farm girl in me, or maybe i'm not quite the people-person i thought i was.
i move up to the camp in one week - that means only one more week of canvassing!!! that's exciting :) meanwhile, i am also leading a worship team for our upcoming young adults service on may 27th!!! that has been a challenge as well, but rewarding, because i've been working with some incredible musicians and friends. i was with my family this weekend and that was especially nice.
another challenge for me has been devotion to Christ. i find myself enjoying him, trusting him, but not devoting my life to him. passion is not momentary, it only becomes passion when it is there for the long haul. so the question then is, am i really passionate about Christ?

hello!
well, i'm living and working in the city for one more month. and part of that means no internet access, except at the public library. my little dying compy has been put to rest quietly at my parents' place for the summer.
so goodbye for a little while. well, perhaps a long while. my summer is all up at camp, and it's 2 computers there at the mercy of 100 staff. i will miss this. and by this i mean thinking so everyone can read it, reading what everyone else is thinking and being able to leave humourous, ridiculous, encouraging and crazy comments on blogs.
i'm still stuck on spiritual houses. and God's will. ponder this: do you believe God has an individual, specific will/plan for your life mapped out and if you make the wrong choice you have violated that plan? and how does God's sovereign will fit in with that "individual will?" what about God's moral will for our lives?? hmmm. i'll be chewing that for awhile.
"peace out!"
