i like new years.
i like snow in the new year.
but i'm a little weirded out with this melting snow thing. it doesn't feel like january.
i really think this year is going to bring wonderful things - my husband is officially a pastor, and when they brought us both on stage at church to "ordain" him and pray for us, it suddenly hit me - i'm in this too! i was so thrilled that he was going to be a pastor, and have his dream job, that i never stopped to really think about my role in it all. as the other pastors prayed for us, i realized that even though tim was the one saying "I will...I do...," really, i was saying it too.
we're one, tim and i. God put us together! and from this point on, we're on this journey of ministry together, and God has a destiny for us that is unique to me and him. i like that. the scary part is that it won't be easy. it's a little unnerving how many prophetic words we've received about things changing and getting harder, but maybe that's why God had me on this 2 year journey of learning to trust him. with more responsibility, though, comes more rewards!
i'm a pastor's wife. that makes me feel like i should have "arrived." but i haven't...oh no, i really haven't. another life lesson, i suppose.
new year's resolution? live in expectation of the Lord's coming!
expect God to come in the small, the large and for eternity!
